PALLIATIVE CARE SERVICES

Child Celebration Network’s palliative care service is for underprivileged children and their families who live mainly in rural areas and slums of urban centers.

Children suffering from chronic illnesses are helped in all ways possible to enable them face the challenge of sickness.

Uganda’s population is still young with about 50% being children from 0-14 years of age.[1] Ugandan children and adolescents have already been impacted by war, exploited for labor and sex, orphaned by AIDS, and forced to migrate within their country.  Facing a life threatening illness is an unwelcome challenge.

Child Celebration Network has established a palliative care service for mainly children to provide the necessary treatment, training and advocacy for strengthening palliative care for children in Uganda.
