Getting Back to Normalcy in Uganda

November 01, 2016: These past several months have not been easy ones for us (Destiny & Charles). We have also had to re-adjust to life in Uganda after our trip abroad and our departure from our baby local church in Iganga in Eastern Uganda. We have now moved from our 2 and a half years home in Iganga to a new location. Our family now lives in Seeta close to our Capital, Kampala. We spent 2.5 years on mission in the Iganga area. We took care of a local church and resourced church leaders. I (Charles) continue to visit Iganga regularly, leading other ministry activities.

We opened a resource center with over 5,000 (mainly Biblical/theological books) in Iganga town to serve the Christian community in Iganga. The center has attracted a number of people including the Mayor of Iganga Municipality.

We have identified more land which we could purchase for the organisation. We would love to have it before someone else takes it. Eventually, we will need 20 acres for the work we need to do in that area including establishing educational (a primary school) and health facilities for vulnerable children such as orphans, blind children and other poor children. We also intend to carry out farming and run other income generating activities.

Destiny & Charles.
